world auto makers in these fields, including GM, DaimlerChrysler, and Hyundai Motor Company, as well as several important
development programs with the United States Advanced Battery
Consortium.
The principals have also been privileged to work closely for several years with the world’s third largest manufacturer of lithium-ion cells,
LG Chem Ltd. of Korea, and its US R&D subsidiary, Compact Power Inc. This association has included development of state-of-the-art
large format lithium polymer cells and battery packs, including electronic controls, patented algorithms, and software.
Projects include development of lithium-ion battery packs and chargers for various US Air Force UAVs, and development of battery
modules and packs under contract to the USABC.
